Vicki Taylor has been appointed as the new parish councillor for Burgh and Tuttington Parish Council.
With her husband Neil and mother-in-Law Val, Vicki moved to Burgh just over two years ago.
She has been very active in improving communication within Burgh leading to the creation of a Burgh Life Facebook group.
Both Vicki and Neil have supported the Reading Room Social club, hosting BBQ and winter food evenings and running the tombola at the fete for the past two years.
Vicki said: “I joined the parish council to give something back to our community as I would like to do more for our lovely village and the parish. We’re very lucky to live here and I want to be able to do the best I can for our residents in Burgh and Tuttington.”
The parish council vacancy was created when Christine McVeigh resigned in the summer.
Mary Forrest-Hill, a councillor from Burgh, said: “Chrissie’s overseas work commitments meant that she felt that she could no longer continue as the active and effective parish councillor she had been previously. We sincerely thank Chrissie for her valuable contribution as a councillor.”
