Church footpath gets a facelift

The footpath leading from the church.

A new “more welcoming” footpath has finally been laid in the churchyard. The path had been discussed by the parochial church council for some time as it was thought the original approach to the church was untidy, uneven and required regular maintenance. Different options were discussed.

“Thanks to the efforts of Frank Hurrell, the new path is wheelchair and ‘semi-ambulatory’ friendly, hopefully more welcoming, and generally improves the appearance of the whole churchyard,” says Jeremy Hickling.

“Once it has weathered a little, it will blend in well. It tidies up the entrance and should be easier and safer for all users of the church.”

The path was re-laid in less than four days by KT Lake Landscaping with block edging and 4” of concrete finished with a resin covered stone finish. Wroxham Builders removed the gates and re-painted them.
