Cobwebs, pumpkins and spooky table cloths as well as a cackling flying witch greeted villagers at the Reading Room Halloween party.
Most dressed up for the occasion – perhaps the most frightening had to be Ray in his far too scary clown get up.
On the menu for the evening was jacket potato, chilIi con carne with cheese and soured cream with veggie chilli and gateaux for pudding. The ladies particularly enjoyed the prosecco.
Star of the show, however, was Barry Lee who performed popular oldies to the delight of everyone singing along to the hits. Barry, with his brother Roger, from Aylsham, formed the Brothers Lee band in the ’60s, probably the biggest act to come out of Norfolk at that time making scores of prime-time TV appearances.
The evening went on past it’s original 10pm finish time as party-goers enjoyed Barry’s singing and danced till late.
