About 40 villagers attended the Harvest Supper at St Mary’s on Friday 12 October and enjoyed cottage pie or fish pie with a choice of apple puddings including apple meringue pie, apple crumble with cream, custard or creme fraiche. And all washed down with a selection of wines or soft drinks. This was followed by cheese and biscuits, and After Eights with coffee.
Vicar David Hagan Palmer led the service opening the evening with a carol as a thank you for the food which was supplied, prepared and cooked by volunteers who had earlier moved the pews to set up the tables and decorated the church with flowers.
