The Devil has all the best stories . . . Dark Matters

Dark Matters with Jonathan Lambert, 8pm, Saturday 1 September, comprises five traditional tales featuring the Devil as a trickster figure, set in a soundscape devised and composed in collaboration with German composer Nicki Frenking. The stories follow both the seasons of the year and the ages of man.
Dark and funny by turn, this is the Devil in his mediaeval incarnation and not the 20th century, “evil personified” anti-Christ of X-rated horror films. Though capricious by nature, and an unwelcome guest, his role is to test our moral fibre. We need only fear him if we are found wanting.
