It was a “tremendous turnout” as villagers gathered to repair and replace the fence around the Reading Room.
Jeremy Hickling, on behalf of Reading Room management committee, thanked all who gave up their Friday evening and Saturday morning to help with this project. He said: “What a tremendous turnout we had. Without the support of the residents and members these projects would not be possible and the Reading Room, a much integral part of our village, would rapidly deteriorate.
“The new fence is an excellent job, well done and much improves the surroundings of the Reading Room. I hope no one suffered from the hard work that was put in.”
