Just flippin’ great

St Mary’s raised a record £312 from its pancake coffee morning on Shrove Tuesday, when more than 50 people turned up to enjoy the traditional lemon and sugar treats.
Churchwarden Jeanne and Chris flipped the pancakes, while Linda and Judith served tea and coffee and Brian and Shirley sold homemade marmalade. There was also a raffle with many donated prizes.
Jeanne thanked all who worked hard on the day and to everyone who attended. “Your support is much appreciated,” she said.
The popular event used to be called Pancalade and has been running for many years.
